Flying display E-mail

The displays are both educational and entertaining and serve to better illustrate the enormous variation that exists between the different groups of Raptors as well as Cheetah. It is the South African National Bird of Prey Centre's belief that there is more ignorance about Raptors than perhaps any other bird family. One can learn something about Peregrine Falcons for example, by seeing them in an aviary 10 feet away. However, viewing the same bird at perhaps 1000 feet in the sky traveling at upwards of 200km/h, has more impact and proves to be more constructive as an educational tool. Various birds are flown in the displays, ranging from small owls to eagles, the Cheetah are also included. The display lasts roughly one hour depending on which birds are flown.
